About JAM

I’m Julie McKone, Owner of JAM Business Support Services, a virtual assistant business based in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW.

As a Digital Content Creator & Manager, I love to help clients get over their feelings of overwhelm and get their website and social media up-to-date and on-brand!

Throughout my career I have worked within various industries, including Government, Corporate, Educational and Not-For-Profit organisations in a variety of roles ranging from Personal Assistant, Receptionist, Secretary, Communications and Design Coordinator, Document Publisher, Web Content Coordinator, and later a Freelancer in Design and Web development.

This experience has led me to choose the business life I have today.

Having gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in blogging, web content management, design and development, I’m comfortable using off-the-shelf, or custom-made website builders and template-driven platforms including Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify and Weebly.

Although I have to say, I’m more of a Squarespace kinda girl!

Being able to think outside the square and having strong attention to detail, I create bespoke graphics, documents and branding material aligned with your business style guide.

Helping my clients get their social media presence up-to-date and keeping it that way is my JAM.

  • I have been a Blue Mountains local for over 20 years and live with my husband, 2 girls and our rain loving dog! 🐶

  • As a creative person I love watercolour painting, photography, designing in Canva and writing. 🖌

  • I can't live without my morning coffee.☕

The story behind ‘JAM’

You may be wondering, why I called my business JAM Business Support Services?

Well if you know me, I like a good pun and the words ‘are you in a jam’ came to mind when I was thinking of a name for my business. Secondly, my initials are J and M, so JAM was born!

Plus, I really do love jam (strawberry is my favourite) and coffee, lots of coffee!
